Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a bcrypt hash). If you sign up via OAuth (Google, GitHub), we receive your profile name and email from that provider.
Usage Data
We collect information about how you use our services — such as pages visited, features used, analysis activity, and time spent on the platform. Analysis inputs and outputs may be retained when an account feature such as saved history or reports requires it.
Payment Information
Billing is processed by Paystack. We store only your plan tier and billing period. We never see or store full card numbers, CVVs, or bank details.
Device & Technical Data
We automatically collect your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and device identifiers to ensure service security and diagnose issues.
2. How We Use Your Information
Providing and Improving Services
We use account, technical, and product-usage data to operate AIDetector.cx, personalize your experience, secure the service, and improve product reliability. Submitted analysis text is not used to train or fine-tune our detection models.
Communications
We may send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, security alerts) and, with your consent, product updates and marketing communications. You may unsubscribe at any time.
Security & Fraud Prevention
We use technical and usage data to detect abuse, prevent unauthorized access, and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We Do Not Sell Your Data
AIDetector.cx does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.
Service Providers
We share data with trusted vendors who help operate our platform: Supabase (database), Paystack (payments), Resend (email), Sentry (error monitoring), and Cloudflare (infrastructure). Each is bound by data processing agreements.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
4. Data Retention
Account Data
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal information is deleted within 30 days, except where required for legal or tax compliance.
Analysis History
Analysis results are retained for 12 months by default. You may delete individual analyses or your full history at any time from your dashboard.
5. Your Rights
Access, Correction & Deletion
Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Submit requests via your account settings or by emailing privacy@aidetector.cx.
Data Portability
You may request a machine-readable export of your personal data at any time.
Model Training
Submitted analysis text is not used to train or fine-tune our detection models on any plan, so a plan-specific training opt-out is not required. Product telemetry and feedback may be used to improve service reliability without using submitted text as training data.

If Google AdSense ads are enabled on this website, Google and other third-party advertising vendors may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses and other identifiers to collect and use information for ad serving, measurement and fraud prevention.
